For decades, my mom has devoted her life to helping others, often quietly, always selflessly. Through her work with Exodus Homes she played a pivotal role for decades in improving and saving the lives of thousands of people, advocating for justice, dignity, and second chances for those most often overlooked. Her work wasn’t just a job, it was a calling. She showed up early, stayed late, and gave her heart fully to her community.

She did this while also being the foundation of our family. After losing her husband far too young, she raised me and my sister with strength, grace, and unwavering love, never allowing hardship to harden her compassion. If anything, it deepened it.

This is now her third battle with breast cancer, and today she is facing Stage 4. Even now, she meets this fight with the same courage, kindness, and humility she has always shown the world. She remains deeply compassionate, fiercely committed to equality and justice, and endlessly concerned with the well-being of others, often before her own.

This fund exists to support her current needs and to help provide comfort, stability, and moments of joy as she continues to fight for her life. After giving so much of herself to others for so many years, this is a way for her community, near and far, to give back, to surround her with love, and to help ensure she can truly live and enjoy the life she is still bravely fighting for.
